Jesus the Perfect Sacrifice
The Bible tells us that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, taking upon Himself the punishment for our wrongdoings. It was a cruel, painful cross. Yet, God demonstrated His love for all of us through Jesus’ death on the Cross. Spurgeon said that "The death of Jesus Christ is the most solemn and significant event that was ever witnessed on earth.
Last Supper and Jesus’ Arrest
Billy Graham, a prominent evangelist, reminds us that “Christians should never forget that Mounty Thursday was the night that Jesus broke bread and poured out the wine of the new covenant”. We remember the words of Jesus, “This is my body which is given for you; this cup is the new covenant in my blood.” (Luke 22:19-20). There is power in the remembrance of this covenant that we have with Christ.
Spurgeon reminds us that Mounty Thursday is not only a time for reflection, but also a time for celebration. We can celebrate the joy of the Last Supper, and the joy of our own communion with Christ.
The story of Jesus's arrest and trial can be found in Matthew 26. This story serves to illustrate how God's perfect plan was carried out, even though it was filled with pain, betrayal and suffering.
Good Friday
The Bible gives us a number of stories and verses to illustrate the significance of Good Friday. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." This verse is a reminder of the incredible love and sacrifice Jesus made for us.
In addition to the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made, Good Friday also serves to remind us of His amazing love. As another saint wrote, "The love of Jesus Christ is greater than any other love that has ever existed in the world."
Easter and Ultimate Sacrifice
Billy Graham once said, "Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life." Indeed, the Easter message is one of hope and assurance that we can be born again through the power of Jesus' resurrection.
Yes! We can celebrate the joy of the Easter season, when we remember the resurrection of Jesus.
This hope is further heightened by the knowledge that God has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Because Jesus is alive and “He is the mediator of the New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” (Hebrews 12:24). We do not need another sacrifice, because the shed blood of Jesus is alive even today and it continues to plead God’s mercy and protection on those who believe.
The picture that Calvary and empty tomb portrays is that although our lives may be in fragments, God’s love, forgiveness and sacrifice can put those fragments together and bring out a beautiful story.
God's Goodness & Faithfulness over our lives!
As a community, we celebrate God’s amazing grace, goodness and faithfulness. We seek to strengthen the cords of love that bind us together in Christian fellowship and eagerly cover each other in prayer.
"He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10

Salvation Prayer
Have you ever made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life?
If not, pray this prayer and start an exciting new life journey in Christ.
Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You.
I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9).
I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life.
Thank You for saving me! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
